In short, this hotel is not worthy of the Fairfield brand.
That is what should happen with this hotel, absent renovation. Other hotel chains (e.g., Choice Hotels) intentionally rebrand their properties as they age. And the room, likely due to the outdated cooling and heating unit, felt damp. The towels and wash cloths were old and thin. All of the furnishings were outdated and the mattresses were in serious need of replacement. When my wife and I walked into our guest room, it felt like we had stepped back in time 20 or 30 years. The overarching problem is that the hotel in general, and the guest rooms in particular, are in serious need of an upgrade/renovation. Unfortunately, this hotel fails to live up to the Fairfield brand name. I selected this hotel because of my general preference for the Marriott/Bonvoy brand, and because of recent positive experiences at two other Fairfield Inns. This property affirms that it follows the cleaning and disinfection practices of Commitment to Clean (Marriott).My wife and I recently spent one night at this hotel, prior to an early morning flight out of Kansas City. Disinfectant is used to clean the property. Cash is not accepted. This property advises that enhanced cleaning and guest safety measures are currently in place. This property accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and Union Pay. Special requests can't be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
